Just went back and forth again across I-80 in Nevada in the past 4 days. I'm seeing a pattern change, likely due to summer. The NHP is cruising the open desert more than usual, between cities, both rolling and parked Ka. They are aggressively using I/O now, most, if not all the time. I got very lucky going westbound. I spotted the roof of a NHP hiding in the bushes, center divide, and slowed quickly - 2 seconds later got lit up with Ka. No lead time on that one because it was around a corner and no other traffic around.
I've still not seen any enforcement between Wells and the Utah border during the last 30 crossings.
That said, my trip eastbound was uneventful - minus a single juicy save from opposite direction NHP running I/O shots at traffic which was 1 car per mile. I snagged the first hit from 2 miles out.
No other alerts for the entire 850 mile drive. Go figure.
