    Default project

the vehicle: 05 yamaha r1 (tuned)
the device: lasermask 2 heads in front , veil headlights and 8500x50 radar detector
the project: custom brackets for devices plus homemade system for helmet alert.
the ideas & future project : laser jammers must be install to be easy taken off and remount on car ,only for long trips (whole project max 30 minutes job - uninstall/install) , the radar detector it will be attach with velcro an a flat surface to be easy remove when park or switch with car. one head jammer will be up front under front "nose" unobstructed , the second one will be behind the windshield, on a flat surface. the mount brackets for lj and rd will be glue on the inside of winshield with epoxy or something similar. the smart cord from rd , i will use the alert red led for warning in the helmet, so i have to solder and extend the wires. also i have 2 helmets and 3 jackets that i use regular in a year. i plan run a phone flat wire from rd under the tank with exit by driver seat, all 3 jackets will have prewire one cord in liner run from front left side bottom all the way to neck collar , with phone plugs ,the helmet will have ph plug and the red led attach to the other end , plus one for jammer.
well all i need is to get the wire prep with the right lenght for jackets , radio shack visit , a warm day to take the bike apart , brackets.
if any bikers here , please let me know what do you think , i will not "invest" any penny more than what`s for ph plugs and a switch + fuse, that`s what`s missing from my list. i will post some pic once i am done.

project start , i got the brackets , and are mount on windshield, hope it holds, that way i may have chance to have a clear vision to radar detector, also i clean the extra tint paint , so what`s left is the light smoke windshield, and jammer should work...

    Default PICTURES update

    some pic ...

here is how it looks from driver view, jammer top , 8500x50 bottom. the shield will be black again except the jammer and rd window...for better performance. i choose rd to be at the bottom because i have more chance to see it than up top , and the jammer will perform better cover if is higher (second jammer is under headlight)
and a view from side , the brackets are pretty much level, regard pic, will have velco for easy move remove items.

the brackets are hold with jb weld and sica (loctite epoxy)

All you need is one jammer head up front and one in the rear and you will be completely covered!!!! this was test with RacerX's bike when we were in Arizona

    Very cool.

We don't get to see very many bike installs. A pic of the final install is a must.

2 jammer heads are better than one, plus with the extra windshield high mount i may cover some of my helmet . for the final it will be a while. still have on the list : run helmet warning wire (bike, 3jackets , 2helmets) with plugs, i have to integrate2 systems in warning wires (8500x50, lasermask) , install rd and lj and add switch to circuit.i will try to take pic as i go..

Radar Screamer system.... will be loud

I would recommend the Speed cheetah wireless stuff but doesn't work with the laser mask

Though it would make install much more portable

i veiled a helmet , of course was the used one , and is ready for test. clear coat on top too. plan to do the second helmet , the good one but my aircan is gone , so i will do it soon.
the set-up i plan for bike works, we test it in Houston this past weekend, all i need is get the helmet issue fix, and have everything wired , warning included in helmet.

Seriously you don't need to VEIL your helment.

All you need is single head up front and single in the rear. I really wish you would have tested that
