    Default cr8apl8 MA plate

I tried searching but couldn't find any real answers...but does anyone run a cr8apl8 plate up front in MA?

I just got my LI installed, and I'm thinking of getting this for the front plate, but I am not sure if it looks acceptable enough to use, or if it's totally off from the real thing.

"CR8APL8" is not a valid vanity plate. Please verify that the plate you entered...
    • ...consists of only numbers and letters.
    • ...begins with at least 2 letters.
    • ...is no larger than 6 characters.
    • ...does not intermix letters and numbers.

Do you have a green plate on the rear?

I personally wouldn't use it. It must be totally against the law...
What are the advantages of using one though?

It's waay less reflective than the regular plate against laser, which is a major threat in MA...And no I don't run a green plate, but I kinda wish I did tho.

Everything is illegal in MA, even aftermarket exhausts are, so I'm not too worried about that part, but if it looks nothing like the real thing then I don't wanna use it.

I remeber seeing one posted from MA. They weren't happy with it has the design was terrible.

I'll see if I can find the thread with the pic.

its non reflective so it would lower the Lidar profile. making it easier for the jammers to do their job.

cr8apl8's look fake...but no one has ever said whats up with your plate? and if you look around there was a post about it passing a close inspection

I got one for my old suv which my mom now drives (still with the cr8apl8) and no problems

    wow that's lame...

I was gonna suggest trying Embossed State License Plate - again, but it says temporarily unavailable now, I hope some forum members ordered prior and their busy making your plates

Wow that thing looks horribly fake. I don't think I wanna risk it with that thing, it won't even pass a glancing inspection.

I think the only option here is to Veil the plate itself, since ANY type of plate cover is illegal in MA (transparent or not, doesn't matter the material.)

For the 100th time and I'm not a CR8APL8 rep only a honk. Yes the CR8APL8 looks fake. Yes, the TX version is probably a little better than most but not by much.

Put a license plate frame and clear cover on it and I can almost guarantee you will not get tagged for it. It only needs to pass general inspection.
LEOs are not going to notice that fake plate while your speeding at them at 60 mph. They will not notice it while your sitting behind them at stop lights.
They will not notice it across an intersection at a stop light.
They will not notice it parked in front of them at a Starbucks patio
They will not even notice it if the bend down to look at your jammer heads.

My TX plate is not much better than your MASS plate.

I'm not saying they will never notice it but in the Ying and Yang of countermeasures the CR8APL8 is a pretty light risk compared to most of the risk we're taking. The state issue plate is the single hottest spot on the front of most cars and it should be addressed.
