Passport G-timer

I figured this would be an ok place to ask since Roy sells the g-timer. What's the difference between the GT1 and the GT2? I know the website says the GT1 doesn't have the "Advanced G-Meter Function" but what in the wide wide world of sports does that mean? Also, I know Roy doesn't sell it, but how does the GT2 stack up to the G-tech Pro SS (gtechpro.com)?

Nobody knows? I tried downloading the manuals figuring they would detail the features, but the GT2 manual won't download so I can't see what the difference is, only what the GT1 offers.

You might get an answer on an import/tuner forum. There are LOADS of those strewn about the net.

Good point...but I don't like to join forums I have no business being in...although I have business being in a BMW forum so I'll go find one of those ricer bmw forums I hate so much.

Also Roy, if you're reading this, how come you don't carry the Bel version and is there any difference between the two?

What is different on the brands is the name

They don't sell very well and I am sitting on a buch that I paid more for then I can sell for now (Escort lowered the price) main difference is that the 2 you can download into a computer and save information

I'm surprised they don't sell well. It seems like a lot of people in car forums have bought gtech pros. I can see why someone would get the gtech pro over the gt2 g-timer, but the gt1 at half the price of the cheapest gtech seems like a better deal, even if it can't measure rpms. I remember when the original gtech pro was $150 and even at that price it sold well (and truly was junk, even at the $30 they go for on ebay people recommend against buying them). I'll be ordering a GT1 probably by next week.
