    1. My eyes. They've saved me a couple times from rolling I/O traps as well as from blowing past stealth LEO vehicles.
    2. Experience. This can sometimes be the difference between an I/O ticket and a save. I always remember (either with my memory or with my 9500ci GPS) where my local LEOs set up their traps and make an effort to not speed in those locations. Example:

I use numerous other forms of technology and non tech related techniques to succeed in this game.

    1. The trapmap before I go anywhere new.
    2. As anybody who got a ticket where they got, how and the DSN.
    3. I use a scanner to figure out who uses what. For example, I know (number has been changed) 8330 in a certain city shoots an Ultralyte at <500 feet at the intersection of X and X between 8 and 11pm. You can set your watch to this guy. Unit 301 will go to a certain gas station after she goes on duty. She only uses c/o. Unit 477 shoots moving i/o. 497 rarely rights tickets. 384 likes highway B and not C. Stuff like that. 339 will not give you a warning. 552 only cares about DWI's.
    4. I sit in the places leos sit in to see what the view is like from their bunker.
    5. I keep up to date on all the grants. I know who buys what and exactly how much.
    6. Even though I don't need glasses I wear them to make sure everything is as sharp as possible.
    More will come later

For anyone in PA supercowpowers covered everything I can think of for PA drivers and things I didn't think off, thanks.

IF you live in a small town, or a town with few LEO's you can always swing by the station, see who is on duty or what cars are out.

    my only rules

    1) Do not speed excessively at night in areas in areas I don't know like the back of my hand.
    2) Scan highway on ramps
    3) Do not cruise in the left lane
    4) Brake firm, but not violently, if I see a cop.
    5) ALWAYS pay more attention for cops over a hill if speeding. (I saved myself from Laser the other day in Gurnee. I braked before my 9500ix told me i was getting hit with laser)
    6) If using a rabbit, pay attention to his brake lights
    7) Watch for ANY stopped vehicles and identify it could be a cop car or not.
    8) If not speeding, don't give a f*ck and chill out...

Like many others, my eyes are my main countermeasure. These are the rules I try to follow when driving more than 10 over the PSL
    1. Only use left lane when passing, except for #2
    2. On a highway with 6+ lanes(3 each direction), pass on the right where possible
    3. Watch for brakelights up ahead for no apparent reason
    4. If in an unfamiliar area, almost always use a rabbit
    5. Watch on ramps and exit ramps
    6. I let off the accelerator when coming over the top of a hill, with my eyes glued to the side of the road and my foot over the brake. Same applies to blind turns
    7. Check mirrors frequently
    8. Watch actions of semi's, i.e. if they are cruising 10+ over the PSL I generally assume the road ahead is safe.

It's hard to add much to some of the great posts already here, but...

    1. I pay special attention to any vehicle that doesn't seem to fear a ticket. If they are behind me, I will slow down until they catch up and I can ensure they are not a cop. I actually want to see the human in the car, because the LEO's in my area use some off the wall vehicles.

    2. I learned to stay mentally prepared while hunting by reminding myself...."A deer is coming." There is so much "nothing" time out in the woods that it's easy to get lazy. Same thing can be said for long road trips. When speeding, there is a LEO behind every blind curve, over every hill, in every hiding spot, in that plane that's flying with the interstate. In my mind, there just is a LEO until I prove otherwise. Sometimes I just don't feel like maintaining that level of paranoia, then I stay within 10mph of PSL. If I can't keep track of possible hiding spots, multiple vehicles in my direction of travel, and continually ID oncoming vehicles from far off, I'm not "in gear" for speeding.

    3. Remember long line-of-sight conditions work both ways. The nearest hiding spot may be miles up the road, and I may even be able to see it from where I am. But I still try not to provide "speed differential" markers for a LEO that might be able to see traffic flow from far off. I try not to pass cars like they are standing still. Instead, I slowly make my way through traffic and usually catch up to my rabbit before he gets too the next clump of traffic. This also helps avoid scaring the crap out of people and causing knee-jerk lane changes/braking maneuvers.

    4. Tracking cars at night is very difficult because the shapes of the headlights are difficult to discern from a distance. On the rare occasions I speed at night, I try and make sure my rabbit remains the focus of any LEO that might be in traffic behind me. While my rabbit is zipping past cars and off into the night, I tiptoe past a semi, signal and change lanes so the the truck is between me and the mystery headlights in the distance behind me. Then I close distance with my rabbit until I start to lose cover. Hills and turns work for this also, so long as your rabbit is a big (fast) enough "fish" to snare LEO's ahead.

I could never follow this rule

I could never follow this rule either [replacer_img]. I regularly drive +30-35 PSL. There is little to no enforcement in PA.
    3) Never speed without a rabbit.
I don't have time to wait for a rabbit. However, if I do find one along the way that's awesome. Most rabbits don't travel at my speeds [replacer_img].
    4) Never speed when cresting a hill.
I do follow this rule, ever since I got pwned by I/O speeding over a hill hahaha.
    5) Do not drive as fast at night.
I break the sound barrier at night [replacer_img]
    6) Be alert.
    I'm always alert.
    7) Use your rear view mirror to check for police behind you.
I do this as well, but when they completely get rid of the Vics, I'm gonna go nuts trying to memorize all of the new police cars haha.
    8) Do not pass a cop who is traveling at the speed limit.
Funny you should mention that [replacer_img] ...
i do this allot and nothing happins

Do it on the Parkway in NJ and I promise you'll get a ticket. I've seen it so many times. Why would you pass a LEO? The risk/reward is horrible.

    Good thread.

as long as I'm not breaking any laws there will be no problems.
