    Default Gatso Digital Radar Camera

    Hi,
Does anyone out there have any info about Gatso Digital Camera from Netherlands based company Gatsometer BV.

The Gatso Digital RCS is designed to capture high quality images with two million-pixel resolution, in varying environmental and lighting conditions. It is a combination of the radar type 24 with Handheld Control, the digital colour or B/W camera (with optional infrared flash) which are all connected to a Digital Control Unit. The Digital RCS can be used in different settings: built in a car, in FIP and on tripod. Violation images and information can be viewed or downloaded immediately with a laptop (or PC or network) using Gatsometer software “GatsoTools”. GatsoTools will use a copy of the offence data (including the images).
The system is also being used in towns of Mesa and Tempe in Arizona US.

Q: How far it can be detected by Bel RX65 Pro and its waveband frequency.

    Plus the Anti Radar Detector
Gatsometer traffic law enforcement equipment contributes to traffic safety all over the world. Because an increasing amount of traffic participants uses a radar detector unit in their cars, Gatsometer BV has developed an anti radar detector system.

Q: Does bel rx65 pro can be detected by the anti radar detector by Gatsometer. If yes what is the range???

    Thanks

From what I've read I don't think the Gatso cameras pose a major problem for any of the top detectors of which the Rx65 is one. The actual range would vary according to siting/conditions etc but you should have more than adequate warning.

Don't know anything about gatso's with RDD capabilities. You'd have to be sure the local versions actually had that feature before looking at an STi.

I don't believe the Gatso "Anti RD" system is actually anything to be worried about, I think it's just a thing that makes RD go off when there is no camera inside the box. Don't quote me on that. It's been posted "officially" here before, search for "gatso anti radar detector system" or whatever.

/edit/ ah the thread is just on the bottom of Page 1!

Indeed it is just a drone in the empty boxes.
