detecting a radar camera

Can a rd detect the radar signal from a camera radar if it is shooting the car in front of you,or does it even use radar to get speed?

yes it usually can IF they are using radar. even with a good detector, the warnings sometimes are very short distance.

fixed and mobile cameras everywhere have been known to work using radar, laser, or embedded strips in the road.
For example, in AZ the fixed cameras are all using embedded strips in the road, so no radar or laser signals, you need a good GPS detector.
the mobile vans out here use radar, k and ka. haven't seen any laser vans yet.

other areas people have seen fixed cameras using laser, so it just depends.
