v1 vs 1980's passport

at my house i have my bushnell speed gun mounted like 3 feet in the air aimed parallel to the ground owards the middle of the street and then after like 500 feet + maybe theres a bend and right as u come around the bend my v1 lights up full signal..no when i drive to test with my friends ghetto radar detector, the like 1980's passport, the passport alerts first just by a few milliseconds before or at the same time as the v1..only difference the v1 goes full and the passport goes like 2 or 3 lights..is this because the v1 ha a filtering process and back then passport didnt even know what filtering was????

obviously a 80's passport wont have the technology as found in todays v1's or passports for that matter..

The Bushnell should have also caused a full alert on the old Passport too, so it is probably way out of calibration.

Passports from say '89 on did have the one of thefirst filtering algorithms on an RD, good old Rashid Rejection, to stop it alerting to K band from Rashid VRSS systems.

technology. RASHID VRSS is actually the Rashid Radar Safety Brake Collision
Warning System. It is an electronic device that operates on K band

number of actual operating RASHID units is so minute, I really doubt you will
run into one.
