Radar Detector w/ GPS - alternative

Uniden has a Radar Detector called the GPSRD which is similar to the 9500i, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this detector? I saw one on ebay for $99, was just wondering about performance.

They *had* the GPSRD. Uniden has been out of the detector business since 2002 I think. As for performance, probably not that great. I also seem to remember people complaining about the GPSRD's dying...

It's not legal to be used it leaks so much according to the FCC

Honestly you can get the same features plus a bit more by hooking you detector up to the Cheetah Mirror with a detector interface. And they can work with the many of the top BELscort products as well as the V1

Imagine the features of the 9500i plus more with the detection ability of the V1, does it get any better?

Well, cheetah's website unfortunately won't give details about the detector interface, sounds promising though, just wish I knew how much I'd be expecting to pay and weather or not the SR7 version is compatible with the SRX since they're essentially the same thing, sounds very groovy though

the detector interface and mirror are in retail production as of now.

What do you want to know ask a question in the Cheetah Forum and I am Sure Either the USA rep RacerX or the international rep will be able to answer your questions

I know he said it interfaces wit hthe V1, BEL RX65, BEL STi, and Escort 8500 X50

I believe it does interface with the SR7 from escort though. Thats would be quite a stealth install
