No matter what anybody says, I still think the plastic 8500 or 8500 X50 will fail in the extreme hot or cold but not with the magnesium Valentine One IMHO.Originally Posted by matt1020
It's a commercial device with off the shelf components. So anything outside +32 deg F to +158 deg F is out of range unless it's tested beyond that range.
The V1 is rated in extended commercial temp range. -20 deg F to +158 deg F.
I don't think it has anything to do with the enclosure material.
You may have a friday detector happens alot! send it back. and pop sucks big time on the x50 and rx65 will work for cops mph bee111 but also lets you know about every junk detector in a mile!!!
