    Default Rocky Mountain Radar

    I am confused.

On another site, some people said that it is a great detector and one person told me it even has ability to locate cop cars from their radios, even if their radar/laser guns are not one.

But here, i did a search and everyone says it is garbage and illegal, which i dont understand why this specific radar is illegal.

Can you guys elaborate further on why they are garbage?

i am newbie and trying to read and understand as much as i can.

    thanks

I'm telling you straight out, I have one and it absolutely sucks!! If it worked we would all have one. I've tested it against my V1 and its like racing a Bugatti with Bicycle. The radar detection is terrible and and the jamming feature is worse. Don't waste your money.

There Junk ! They do not jam radar. You can only locate cops that aren't running radar by a CB radio or Trapster or your eyes

Everyone is crazy. My Rocky Mountain Radar detector has jammed every police radar and laser gun I've come across. It's like I'm invisible. /end sarcasm.

They are garbage because they don't work as advertised. Their "scrambling" radar claims have been proven false countless times by radar Roy and News stations.

On a sidenote, this forum is your best resource for police countermeasure info. What is posted on this forum is the truth and nothing but the truth. There are some other RD websites out there that may contradict with what is preached on this forum such as laserjammertests.com and radartest.com. You should ignore these sites because they are filled with BS and lies.

RMR is the biggest fraud in the industry. Don't waste a penny on their BS products.

It should be a felony to buy one...

Oh wait, if they worked as advertised it would be a felony to use it.

Or to clarify, active jammers are illegal under FCC rules, as they are unlicensed transmitters.

The RMR is a passive jamming device; it doesn't transmit a jamming signal, so (assuming it meets FCC requirements) it's perfectly legal. The downside is, it jams radar about as well as a brick placed on your dashboard. In other words, it's useless, and RMR doesn't even make a good detector. It's all a scam.

I didn't know the RMR was passive. Thanks for the clarification.
