    Default Next Generation of Countermeasures?

    http://www.engadget.com/2005/04/21/n...dar-or-lasers/
if you read down it says this:
If any Gadget Lovers are interested, "Road Angel" http://www.blackspot.com.

It's a GPS unit with a difference, it has a onboard database (updateable online) of the location of Speed Camera's, and warns you when you are approaching one. It can also warn you of potentially hazardous areas. They even pay you £50 if you add a nnew camera to their database.

Man those road angels really SU CK bigtime, I had one and sold it, they charge you stupid amounts for the database updates and can never provide tech support when needed.

Id strongly suggest you stay away from them.

I bought a Uniden sat nav and works atreat and has a heaps better screen than the road devil...

    Cheers

Where are you located? They were never sold for North America (are are still not) , you stated they suck however what type of issues did you have? Which version did you have?

Road Angel Compact is the latest Tiny version, we have tested for many months with no issues.
    ?

database was crap, I thought it was good but it was all over the place, somtimes it would alert to a camera and somtimes not....i really just got over it...

Then when my subscription ran out they wanted to charge me wayyyyyyyy to much money for a years subscription.

Didnt all of the road angels get withdrawn from sale in the UK?

No they in fact still sell the original version. did you have the original old Black version that was in the shape of a radar detector? What year was this? if you take a look at their website it still shows all versions to date.

Any issues could have been easily changed with a rom upgrade which can be done online however possibly if you were an early adopter back then this was not an option.
