I have chimed in on a few speed trap disscusions, but wanted to see if any other CA 9500IX/CI users have come across any speed traps. I posted the below to the Escort radar forum, but you all are...
"it has released on me about 3 times in 1.5 years" -- I'd take that as a good stick to time ratio --haha.
I like to use a trip to the car wash as a time to restick everthing. Once I started...
By learning, I mean mean loking for a mem-tek type answer. How do these things work?
you have highway, city, or auto
Auto is used to dectect if you on the freeway or city with out toggle.
Just wondering how a non gps unit knows the distiction of the two and adjusts.
I am curious and want to learn.
With the 9500IX I can see how Auto works with knowing the speed of the vehicle though GPS.
How do the non-GPS units detect the difference between highway and...
Hopefully we can get some west coast users. 2years, never seen a speedtrap warning.
Maybe we just don't have them here.;)
That look nice. One thing, the way you have it wired, I think you have disabled call waiting.. :)
I played it a few times.... He is hinting at something around "There are always problems with a new system". I think he said a few other words in between the seven times he repeated it. It could...
I like this!! Has anyone figured out how realtime it is? I don't have a scanner to test. 1min, 5min, 10min?
Wow!! As a CA resident, I can not rememrber the last time in at least 4 yrs something has been enacted to help the residents...

Oohhhh!! That's good. Love to be there whe it happens.
That sucks... In December the samething happened to me with a laptop. They left a Garmin Nuvi on the dash untouched. I had to file a police report since it was a work laptop. The cop told me it...
I am the say when it comes to purchases... Buy the middle for best value. However, I bought the 8500 X50 and used it for about 12 days. Worked great but I quickly saw where the additional features...
"Speed on Green" .. that is nasty. Never even realized that was out there. Does it give tolerance on the PSL? +5mph or right on the dot?
Hopefully this week's California update has a few norcal speed traps. I'll load it up today and go trap hunting.
So far, mine has ben spot on in NorCal. Havn't got any speed trap alerts yet. Has anyone gotten one?
That is classic... Nicely written. Did you get a reponse?
O ya got to love it.
I'm trying to get Escort to add a SpecExpert mode display. Looks like they may do something in this direction at some point. Most likely like speed alert on the...
Normal Power up? Is that having power to the unit, then turning it off and back on with the power button on top of it?
I switched to expert meter after about 2 weeks with the 9500ix. I got used to it quickly, and now use it 100% of the time. As CJR says... It's fun to hear Multiple Frequencies Detected!!
I am about 10 days in on a 9500IX.
If I use highway mode, I understand that that the 95000IX is using the highest level of sensativity possible. If you are in Auto mode, the KA & laser is not...
HI All,
Just purchased my first RD. Spent a few hours lurking around this site, and ended up with an 8500 X50 red.
The part I love most about ths site is learning the techniques around new...
