Whoops. I guess the 3.813 is actually the desired version not 3.818. For the cost of a referb vs. upgrade I'd buy a referb and keep the 3.818 too.

Lots of V1 folks throughout the years used to believe (maybe some still do) that if you had a 3.818 that you had the cream of the crop and many refused to update it, stating that the updates...
This type of advertizing keeps folks interest anyway. It keeps the words "Escort" and "Redline" on the tips of many's tongues.
My bet if it happens this year it will be no earlier than the end...
The concept itself is a fantastic idea. Enthusiasts will enroll and use it but for the general population, it appears to be a tough sell.
That's some funny shizzle right there truth or not.
Interesting. Keep an eye on the RedLine and if you continue to see unimpressive performance from it then call us to set up servicing it. You may have a very hot STi but I would still think that the...
I pulled my Redline out of mothball the other day and it didn't take me long to go back to the V1 whether it was QT or what, but I got an incredible detection from the Redline as well the other day....
I appreciate the help with my malfunctioning Redline.
It's easy to figure out, at least in my eyes, that I need to send it back to Escort and hope they fix it correctly this time...........or dump...
Best thing to do is have it tested by members with radar units. Swamp and I can test your RL if you want to. When you don't test it in a controlled manner, it is really hard to tell how radar was...
It's only a matter of time before you no longer having to worry about this guy. He's going to get at minimum, clipped by someone if not used for traction in that itty bitty shoulder on the left side...
If you think something is wrong w/the Redline (and by what your describing something very well could be) you say you will have a clear conscience to sell it? That doesn't sound very...
This is what is most frustrating. I've had some incredible alerts from the Redline as well. One that was 6 miles with some small hills and a good turn to it that involved I/O (long trigger pulls...
Yes, highway mode, X band off, pop off, tsr off and sws off.
Agreed. This is definitely a strange one. But a second officer nearby does sound very likely. It's easy to see a cop and get tunnel vision, forgetting they are pack animals. I'm no big fan of the...

I don't run radar detectors at the same time. It would have been worse to have the V1 chirping for those 4+ seconds (which seemed like a whole lot longer) while the Redline stayed deaf to the...
I just got this thing back from Escort last Friday. I sent it in basically due to the same issues.....slow reaction, and full blast 2 or 300 yard, terrible range alerts with no prior warning.
I...
I got my Redline back from Escort CS (repaired antenna). Seems to work OK from the short time I've had it back on the windshield short of reaction time.
QT, QT, QT? hell, this thing has some...
There are no radar detectors that I know of that enjoy being turned on and then varying degrees of power from the ignition being run to it from vehicle start up.
My V1 wouldn't respond at all on...
I'd turn it off with the knob each and every time.......or have a way to turn it off while the car is started and then turn it back on.
I've had problems with my V1 when I've turned the car off and...
Hummmmm........
During the power up and calibration, as you mention CJR238, the Redline nor any Belscort cant/shouldn't be able to detect anything point blank range or far away until it completes...
How could it be detecting itself????
I thought the Redline was undetectable........if it was spewing radar/radio waves that it detected itself, it would, I believe be detectable by radar detector...
Looks like you got one of the unlucky first badges they made.[/quote]
Nope, I don't think so. Manufacture date is 5009.
Thank you sir, I'll do just that.
I lurk over at the Escort forums, but don't post much.
After thinking about it and if it takes Escort three weeks to make my Redline well again, so be it. I'd...
My Redline is going back today. Its been strangely intermittent with its performance which has kept it from going back to Escort as one detection is terrible and the next acceptable.
I've run radar...
