Default Blinder Head - Needs Cleanup

Anyone chime in on what I could do to the Blinder heads on my car to clean them up? The installer here had to use silicone and epoxy as he couldn't find any metal brackets to use to secure the M27 heads. They are anchored in solid, straight and level. They just look sloppy. Last week I actually drove through a Police checkpoint around Toronto and the cop didn't even notice them. Living in Ontario, I don't want to post any photos of the front of the car.

    Thanks!

I hate to say this, a decent installer will never use epoxy or silicone to install heads. The better ones will make custom brackets. Even 3m body tape is a better option.

I hear ya! He installed my LI's on my other vehicle very professionally. The car I had the Blinders on drove him nuts. There anchored in, so I'll keep them in their current state for now. Thinking I may take a trip before the jammer testing next weekend to the place recommended by Victor. They did a good job on the Cheetah C50. They could probably hide them with a nice custom bracket, hopefully.

For one thing epoxy is permanent can't adjust them, and forget about trying to get them off, say if you want them for another car. Plus it looks like crap.

Basically a good installer will improvise a solution, that separates good from the not so good.

Please post the name of this installer.....so no one else every uses them again...

This looks like a weekend warrior job, not a paid install.

Unfortunately in Ontario, we're very limited in who we can go to. The LI's he installed were perfect, clean, neat and barely visible. This one, he did not want to do, but did anyway. It looks terrible, so when I go down to the Buffalo jammerfest, I'm going to stop by the custom radio place Victor recommended, and get them to either re-install or put a housing around or over the top of the heads.

Cut me some slack, he does good work, just not on the car I brought him. At least they're straight and level. Any suggestions on what I could cut, or attach to the top to clean them up?

Home Depot has some stuff specifically designed to remove silicon sealant. Don't recall the name but they or any decent hardware/construction supply store should have it. Works better than other solvents which aren't specifically made for silicon sealant. You can use it to leave the heads in place and just remove the ugly part.
