VR is a diffirent company and their research has not developed an antenna that is better then what is current on the V1. I highly doubt VR gets any help from Belscort as Mike Valentine did the arrows pantent thing. I think VR is just a little behind on the KA detection and it will be a matter of time for the V1 to get an upgrade. They just need perfection time.Originally Posted by againstme!
See VR takes the time to research their products. Belscort does not.
I bet if every V1 owner wrote a hand written letter to VR about the importance of Ka band detection they would rush it up a bit. I have summitted mine.
true. what good is a detector that owns on Ka but has calibration errors every few months? im glad vr takes the time to research, but just hope they find something soon. if they come out with a new antenna, would that still be same upgrade fee or a little more since its atually changing parts instead of software?
You can expect to pay a bit more for two new antennas. I would love to see VR come out with a better antenna too. Lets pray. :wink:Originally Posted by againstme!
lets all hold hands and recite a prayer. how long has it been since the last major upgrade from vr? non software upgrade.
I think if your patient you will be rewarded. VR will offer an update to your unit unlike Belscort who will gig you for a new detector. It looks to me that 2 of the 3 ka bands the VR has fallen behind. I cannot help but think that he J function and this filtering crap for junk detectors combined with POP is hurting the performance. Fingers crossed they get rid of the J function and give us some Ka performance.
yes taht would be nice, but thankfully for me, the CHP here uses the stalker 34.7Ghz range which the V1 owns on so im not too concerned, just wondering why it has fallen behind in the other ranges.
Mike V is brilliant, but also very stubborn. That's just how engineers are sometimes.Well, maybe a lot of the time.

And here I just ordered a new one yesterday,,, Maybe should have waited
stuckinga, the V1 is very very good. you will not be sorry. it is best in X,K, and the 34.7Ghz Ka and Laser bands. and as far as the other Ka bands, its barely behind. and just wait, when its time to upgrade, you will pay less than every belscort owner.![]()
