Ohh crap apperantly i made a no no posting a flea bay link, anyways its a remote mute switch, you can look it up on ebay just search valentine one radar, it will come up.
Thats what it looks like installed, what you guys think?
ITs really up to you
If you thikn you can put it somewhere and like it than why not get it? If you can't find somewhere to put it than maybe its not for you. Or if you have the remote display and can just as easily hit that as that mute button than it might not be worth it. up to you.
They are very slick though.
You think it could do different things too? i couldnt tell from the auction, i dont know i might be interested, id love to hear from somone who has used one tho.
ohh and how does it hook up?
heres the rest of the pics

The same thing all the current mute buttons do.
Mute
Change Mode.
Thats it - nothing more - nothing less. You can easily make one yourself - I haven't quite dug up the diagrams but they've been posted here - do some searching - if you're confident in yourself with some wiring - than do it. Save yourself 10 bucks or whatever he's got them marketed at.
I have made and use one every day I drive, I have the schematics in PDF file of you want to make one, Or I can send you directions on how to do it.
All you need is a 4-wire cord with a telco jack on one end, a microswitch on the other end (I took the switch from a retired printer) and some 3M 2-sided auto-trim tape.
real easy to make, and I have mine mounted at fingertip reach on the directional lever.
can you solder decent? then no problem!!
Will it work if you are also using the concealed display?Originally Posted by Switchback
