Any way to bypass auto dimming?

Guess I gotta go play with a flashlight, it changes so much I've never noticed the intensity of the light from the V1 change.

I didn't know the V1 auto dimmed after a certian period of time. The is one reason I would not want a V1.

It doesn't. It only dims as the ambient light dims. It's not a timer thing, it's a photocell thing.

Seems to me that one of the tech-heads here that modify the CDs could put a rheostat in place of the photocell sensor and allow you to manually adjust the brightness, or else just bypass the photocell altogether for the blind user.

yeah that shouldn't be to hard, bypassing is easy, and an adjustable rheostat would be easy as long as I would know the ohms that it is at the max and min.

you guys need your eyes checked. its blatantly obvious at night. open the door so your interior light comes on, and you'll immediately see the digital display start to intensify...shut if off and watch it fade back to dim

Yeah my dome lights are a darker red than the V1 It's all about stealth!
