    Default V1 Remote Radar Detector

I was just wondering would it be possible for VR to create a remote radar detector with a existing V1. My Idea was for them to design two horns that you could mount at each end of your car in the normal remote manor. These horns are connected to the main unit by the normal V1 plug and your old/same unit does all the magic stuff as normal. Guys is this possible or am just in zombie dream land?????????

I'm thinking It's a good Idea at the mo.

Mr. Valentine doesn't like remote detectors.

There are lots of good ideas that VR could have incorporated into their detector over the past years, and as you can see they have done very little in the way of that department.

I wish you good-luck in your remote-mount detector search from VR. Don't lose sleep over it mate...

I must say they have to do something eventually... so cross your fingers and hope.

I already made my plans if by the middle of December valentine does not come out with a v1 that is spectra proof or at least very low detection range I will have to buy a sti driver, I need it to visit family in Canada. I wish they would but we will have to wait and see.

I have had my V1 sitting in a box for a little over a year now. I broke it back out when I had to send my STi in for the audio ramp up fix. I can honestly say, it took a while to trust and get used to my STi, but after the audio upgrade I find that I actually like it better than my V1 overall. Neither detector is perfect, but after almost getting caught in VA with my V1, I find myself way too paranoid.

So what's that got to do with the thread??????????? I'm looking for the questions like the triangulation problem's and the like not some bell boy's opinion how well the V1 does to the STI . What is this forum some bell run propaganda room. No It's the V1 forum so keep your post to the thread thanks all the same.

Would eliminate alot of chumps trying to kife em wouldn't it. MV probably will not come out with a remote unit. Your idea does make sense though. I think spectre proofing may be the next big thing from VR.
Hey Virion, How do you "almost got caught" with your V1 in VA? If you got spectred, you'd have a ticket??

Calm down Alpha Male, don't start pounding your chest. You might want to try eating a little less red meat:-) My response wasn't directed at you. I was tying to reassure languy99 that having to purchase an STi isn't as bad as one might think. I'm merely providing feedback from my point of view to languy99's similar situation. I believe your question has been answered and I can't imagine Mike changing his opinion on remote mount detectors. I wish that VR would come out with a spectre proof detector so I can send mine in for the upgrade.
