I was curious of the owners of the V1 and the remote display. If you have your remote display say in the instrument cluster by the speedo, but take down the main unit. Anyone, have an issue with theft, since say a thief looks in the window and sees the remote display, do you think he would break in looking for main unit?

I leave my concealed display but take down the V1 when I'm in a public area.

Most thieves are not looking for the remote display, and probably don't even know what it is when they see it. They are looking for something easily visible on the windshield or dash.

I leave the concealed display in the car. It's not that obvious anyway. And the concealed display is relatively inexpensive in the event someone steals it.

This. I leave mine mounted up high unless it's too hot outside.

I leave my V1 mounted with the holster for my Glock laying on the dash! That way they know the owner is packing and may be back any second.

I've had a concealed display on/in the dash for over a year now and my car is parked in public lots 75% of the time. No problems. I usually take the V1 back to the apartment.

If its up high you don't need too take it down unless of heat.

Concealed display don't worry about it.

    X2^

my V1 is up high hidden behind a plastic tint strip i installed and it cant be seen there but on a hot day (when we get one here ), i do take it down just in case.

the concealed display is velcroed to the steering column and i leave it there all the time.
