Differences About "Tarzan"

Hi All,

I received my V1 (Tarzan) back from VR this afternoon and I noticed a couple of things that are different about my unit.

First, the arrows are like 10X brighter then the rest of the display as compared to before where it was all evenly at the same level.

Second, the strength meter LED's are "softer" in the sense that they seem a little bigger then before.

Third, detection seems improved from when I got it back the first time a while back for just a tune-up. Not much difference from the local K band speed signs but alerts no more then a second before where it used to alert from my memory at least.

I did get my first KA hit this afternoon going to the gym and the CHP was on the opposite side and on the other side of a bridge and I was at the bottom upon first alert. It was definitely ample time to slow down if I was speeding (I wasn't though).

Just sharing my differences that I notice. If I can I will post some pics and see if you guys can see the difference between now and before.

Ace how many days did it take for you to get back from when they received it?

Well to be exact it took exactly one week from when they received it. They received it on Wed May 13th (sent out on Mon the 11th via USPS 2nd day) and they sent it back out on Wed May 20th via Fedex 2nd day service.

One week at VR

Two weeks grand total going back and forth

Nice to see that you have Tarzan back and in good order. Have you gotten Jane back yet?

Hello,

2 weeks turn around - that is good to know. I just sent my V1 in this last week. The front seemed to lack range a bit and it tended to lock up by overheating. Sure hoping the old 'girl' get back to me soon. Been using 'her' for 8 years, sure miss having her on the dash.
