False K band using V1

Hi there....So here it is, BMW 7 series 2007 with the Distronic adaptive cruise control. Always getting false K band alert because of the cruise....They come each 2 mins... Anybody here about this issue ? Anyone know if there is an update with Valentine 1 for this issue?

How popular is k in your area? I'm not sure about what you can do other than to turn off k.

How long do these K band alerts last? Are you sure they are coming from your car? Where do you live? There are lots of places that have K band monitoring drones that act just like what you are describing. You can set the K band automute settings on the V1 to try to eliminate these alerts.

I asked around and it seems that it is really my car.... Turning off my K band is the last thing I wanna do cause we don't have many but we have in my area...

There would be no 'update' as you asked because that would defeat the purpose of the V1. It's a radar detector which alerts to radar. Try setting up the K band automuting like some have suggested. Unless there's a way to turn off or unplug the BMW's 'safety feature' you're stuck with it.

Since you said it comes about every two minuets, have you tried the automute? You could put on an automute with a low threshold that only mutes for how many seconds you set it for. I have an auto mute that un-mutes at 7 seconds or 4 on signal strength.

Another thought is how much do you use cruise control. Assuming the CC has its own fuse, you could remove the fuse.

Man, I don't know about the blaming the car assessment. I live in LA and I drive by a million-bajillion BMWs and none of them make my RDs alert to K band. You still didn't tell me where you live.

Yeah... I drive past dozens of 2007 or newer bmw's every day and i've never had that problem.
