Disable X Band?

About five years ago, some people started recommending that we disable the X Band to reduce falses, because no one uses it any more. Wrong! I live in a moderately affluent suburb with a well equipped police department and they were still using a few X band units as of two years ago. I haven't noticed one recently and think they may be gone.

How about the rest of the country? I believe that X band units are still legal to use, has anyone else found any in use recently?

It seems that only about 25% of my falses are X band, so disabling it might not be much of an improvement...

X-band is still used in certain areas: Radar Bands by Town, New Jersey is the worst state for X-band.

Luckily, no X band in Florida (that I'm aware of).

Supposedly no X-band in CA (except possibly Park Rangers). Glad I spend most of my time in CA and FL, no X or POP in either!

Well with a V1 you will always have false turn off x band will help some....

If any doubt leave it ON. Then run it in little L, or BIG L

Supposedly in my area state troopers run X band occasionally. While I haven't run across X band, I'm not taking any chances if I have to travel the highways.

x-Band is off on my V1 and that makes like a little easier on me - Calif.
