    Sounds normal to me. Most of my encounters are about 1/4 to 3/4mi.

    Seeing and listening to most of the V1 users here you would think the V1 would give 2+ mile alerts all day long. However hills, curves and the direction the LEO's is shooting his radar effect your range a lot.

    Your terain has alot to do with how much alert distance you get with any RD. Somtimes 1/4mi is increadable range, sometimes 1mi isnt enough.

    Give it more time, I am. Hopefully in the next few months ill give a detailed review on my V1.

    i live out in a farm area and my v1 has no problem picking up I/O or Q/T on ka x or k band.i do have hills and curve roads with bends out my way. ka can be tricky.i picked up constant on ka once and i got horrible range coming around the corner on 34.7 ka.
