    Default Sent V1 back :(

    Radar fans,

I tested out my v1 (my mom named him oscar) in the 30 day trial period and at first, i was really impressed with its sensitivity. I laughed hysterically when it would go off, then I'd see a cop a mile ahead. (Note: I have some screws loose)

I enjoyed it by myself, but when I'd take passengers along they'd become irritable with its false alarms (especially my dad). I didn't mind them so much, but it was kinda annoying to slam the brakes on the highway when a hotel set it off. (terrible grammar, sorry) Plus, a perturbed 300 lb motorist tailgating me became impatient and flew past me with his 10 mpg 4x4 expedition.

That didn't bother me as much the false alarms. I tried all 3 modes with and without POP; the falses were still a pain in the a$s. I didn't want to reprogram any specific bands because I may need x band for a road trip.

Overall, it did its job to detect radar, but it was too intense for my passengers. I was regretful to send it back, but now I'm trying a 9500ix as recommended by a friend. Someday, I'll get a ZR4 from radarbreakers to complement it.

I though i should share my experience with the radar experts.

You could've reprogrammed it to false less by using auto muting for k-band. I understand that there are a lot of drones on the highway that will cause k-band falses but that's where programming comes in.

K band is primarily used where I live. That's why i'm hesitant to desensitize it.

You may want to rethink the ZR4 decision. There are much better alternatives Read up

If you want silence in the city, the V1 isn't they way to go.

Hey, it's a good thing. When my wife gets naggy, I just drive local and let the false alarms drown out the 'noise'.
