    Default False Laser Alert

Was behind a Chevy Avalanche, and my V1 alerted to laser. Light turns green, we started moving, Avalanche hits brakes again, and again V1 goes off. I remember reading that some brake lights will set off the V1 laser alerts. Didnt know an Avalanche would to. There was also an Infiniti next to the Chevy, but I think it was the Chevy. Any thoughts?

Also, for the first time since getting my V1, cops were driving around with C/O today. Picked up C/O Ka band from local cop that was at least a half mile ahead of me, traveling in the same direction as I was, using front antenna. The blips were weak, but definitely picking him up. There were also alot of cars and buses in between us, and actually only saw him as he was turning left onto another street.

Second encounter was minutes later, in the neighboring town. As soon as I made a left onto a main street, my X band started. Slow at first, and faster as I got closer to the source. That was also at least 1/2 mile from the source, on a hilly road will not too many vehicles.

Last encounter was on the Parkway. Trooper was using I/O Ka band. Was pretty bad at it tho if u ask me.

None of these are "saves" as I'm aware of the spots the 2nd and 3rd LEO were sitting at. But it was still cool to see the V1 working.

LED brake lights will set the V1 off to laser. Chevys are one of the causes also i believe.

When this happens, i just get closer to their bumper. This forces the detector to be lower than the beam and seems to work pretty good.

I assumed he was at a red light, but could be wrong. I only get these FA when i am about 20 feet or less from the GM's SUV's.

Yup, we were at a red light, and he was directly in front of me.

Guys. Does K band radar emit a lower radar "beam"?
There is a toll plaza with two K band radars. Approaching it is pretty much straight on, but it is a bit hilly. Not major hill, but noticeable hills. Anyway, my V1 picks it up at .5 to .6 miles away. I feel it should pick it up from further away. I have the newest version of the V1. What do u guys think?

Believe it or not but somehow I made my V1 laser false the other day by flashing my head lights. Its an 01 neon, stock headlights, I flashed them briefly to let a car out (whome was waiting on me), it must of reflected off their blue van and the V1 caught it. It went off soon as I did it, no one else around. I was hoping it was not a cop at first thinking I was warning people. But then I regained my thoughts.

I actually got a very weird laser alert on my way home from work tonight. There was no car in front of me, a few behind me, and no visible LEO. It was also on a road where LEO NEVER hangs out. My LI didn't go off, but I still circled around and drove the same route again. This time to really concentrate on finding a LEO, but nothing. No alert this time either. Weird... BTW, it was dark and raining.
