i was going to get a returned unit... but for that price might as well get a brand new one.
these units have probably been used on the 30 day trial and returned so it cant be that old or worn out

I don't think they are new...
VR has to get people who fork out the $400 and drive with it for a few weeks, then return it. VR told me on the phone this happens on average 1-2 times a week.
They probably just repackage the V1 and maybe replace the case and other external parts if they are damaged.
Also, people who are returning the V1 want to make sure that it is in "new" condition, or they might not get their money back. :wink:
if a unit is returned, it is visually inspected for scratches.. no scratches then the unit is repackaged and sold.
if the unit is scratched or whatever, it is refurbished with new parts.
make no mistake, the 360.00 units are as new as the 400.00 units.
