With the exception of circular horn ant.'s most enforcement radar is vertically polarized(V1 horn always was), recently. <-- edit - meant to incl. before but didn't.

Not difficult at all to do...two widely spaced Amateur Radio operators could do it easily & off-the-shelf two-way transceivers.

    Um ya .....

    Got that link handy ?

sorry to tell you THERE dude but most radar is CIRCULAR POLARIZED

    look them up

    very very few aren't

Traffic control camera's because of the limited range and a few old stalker and a odd Kustom unit here and there

with good reason because cars aren't designed as perfect radar reflectors and most reflections coming off of them are random polarization

    also they are CHEAPER

DON'T TRY TO KID A KIDDER.
Just BE SURE to let us know when you get nailed by one of the deadly Lo-Power handheld K & Ka Patch Array guns,"dude".
(and especially so if you run the V1 in the position you mentioned before)

Yes there are so many of those units out there I am truly worried about that one particular kustom unit . More likely I would run into a traffic patrol person running POP. LOL

You don't know much about what the police depts across the USA use in very very large numbers do you ?

You know like dept wide buys ?

BTW the unit you reference as I recall was Vertically Polarized

Your even wrong on that account !

that is why you see so many v1 users in europe driving with their v1 detectors sideways child. Because the eu photo traffic radars are too.

Fair 'nuff...what say you, is the polarization of the radiated E.M.F. ?

If you mount the on its side you will gain a bit of distance detecting the polarized radar however you will have a greater chance of missing long distance O/I of normal police radar. Also to boot you will lose that amazing V1 ramp up. The V1 is also design to be mount bottom flat and not on it's side, whats going to happen to the internals after of years of vibration on its side.... I know finicky but hey.
