Default How do Whistlers respond to multiple radar signals?

Just a quick curious question... Is it predictable how a Whistler would respond to multiple radar alerts? For example, if you park in a parking lot with an X-band and K-band opener and a cop shooting Ka band, which would you get an alert for? Is one band prioritized over the other? Would the detector randomly alternate between the bands?

If I am not mistaken, I believe it depends which radar signal is the strongest before it displays another band.

I do not see any mention of that in the manual, and I've read almost all of the Whistler manuals (shut up, lots of free time one week....)

The only reference I see to alert prioritizing is that Laser -> VG2 -> Radar -> SWS

as of my personal experince, k always overrides x
ka overrides x,k when both signals are present.

    laser overrides all radar.

"When two or more signals are received at the same time, the alert priority is:
    (1) Laser (2) Speed Radar (3) Safety Radar"

Nothing on that page says anything about what happens if two speed radar signals are received at the same time.

jdong- I have experienced the Pro78 alert priority twice-

I was doing a run toward a K-band speed sign for a 2nd time, and I was getting approximately .6 mile alert with the sign. When I was within 1000' of the sign, Ka alert took over and then I realized I had been IO'ed by an unmarked NCSHP car coming towards me.

I wasn't speeding because I was actually trying to see if my speedo was accurate.

Another instance was K-band priority over X. I was travelling in a town that runs K-band and I was passing a store that always gives me a x-band alert. Prior to the x-band alert area, I registered k-band from the LEO coming towards me. The x-band did not alert in this instance.

    Hope that helps a little.
