Glitch?

So i was driving home a few minutes ago. During the ride i was getting some bleeps of Ka (the LEO ended up being about .75 miles away on a highway that was higher than me (KA)). I was approaching his location (common speed trap) and the my pro 78 suddenly stopped beeping. I looked up and noticed that the screen was still showing a 4-5 bar signal and the two LEDS were just static-on (when they should be flashing).

later on when I passed a Ka speed sign the detector worked normally with normal distance.

Why did my pro 78 just freeze like this. This did happen within 4-5 mins of turning on my car so it was still very cold in the car (27 F at min).

So this happen again today on the way home. This time is was with that speed sign i was mentioning before. I passed it and was still showing signal (i'm not positive but i DON'T think the signal strength froze, it still changes around). once again there was no sound and the LEDS froze. i pressed the quiet button to see what that would do and the RD just freaked out. started to beep like crazy even tho the strength was at 6 or so.

This time it was 30 mins after i got in the car so it was pretty warm. guess this isn't a factor. Michael B sent me a PM i guess ill handle this way. good thing whistler has good CD

btw, this RD is probably about 2 months old at max
