Absolutely not! As a matter of fact, I performed this test. What I am saying is that this testing was run in the Whistler's default setting, which is filter mode. Based on my own testing, it's my opinion that these results would have been significantly different, if the setting on the Whistler was filter2, instead of filter.
I'm saying that on these Whistler SEs, false alerts and performance are related. If you live in an area where Ka band false alerts are a problem, in order to deal with them, it has been my observation that you will be sacrificing responsiveness. That's my point.
I see 1 to 2 of those Ka falses per day if I'm unlucky. I use default Filter or Filter 1 most of the time. I turned my X band and K band off on my Pro 78se and it's super quiet.
Freebird, didn't you say that your Pro 78se alerted to the Q/T fine in Filter 2 when you ran into that Q/T happy Motocop? Do you remember if POP was on or off?
I'm curious about V1's ability to detect Q/T if POP is turned off. I think it would be interesting to see a comparison of Q/T performance between a Whistler SE and a V1 with POP turned off.

Yes I tried all 3 modes and even on filter 2 he appeared to be shooting the same amount of time between shots, 3-5 seconds , leading me to believe i was still picking up all of his shots in filter 2 mode.
He was shooting every 3-5 seconds and holding the trigger down 1 and a half to 2 seconds on average.
Pop was off.
Lately i have been getting allot of false Ka alerts on my new route to work. They are in the same location also. Filter 2 eliminates them. Filter 2 is fine for most of the time. Mike B said that FILTER mode picks up radar scatter better. I have noticed this over hills and overpasses.

That's about what I got in filter2 and it drove me bananas.
Well yeah, but if you run into K band, you're toast. Turning off X and K band is not possible for 99.9% of those RD users out there.
V1, pop off.

Jag 42, I see that it says you're from West Texas. What city?
Sigh, it seems that no matter what, djrams will always find a way to sour the day of the Whistler owners. He will never admit that Whistlers are excellent performers. Like Stealth said, I would also take my XTR-690 over any Belscort any day?
Who needs 2+ mile detection when it can't even detect QT I/O couple hundred feet away?
I think part of djrams problem is that he just can't face the fact that my $150 RD outperforms his $1400+ RD on everything but range. But as I mentioned before, no one NEEDS 2+ mile range, it's nice, but sure as hell not worth hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars extra.
