Great!! Thank you very much.
I thought so to but I did a live chat on the beltronics web-page with a sales person and they said they didn't think they were the same. I asked him if I could buy the new mount with the section cups...
I just took my Vector 985 out of the closest and see the suctions cups are worthless. I contacted Beltronics and they don't have any replacements available to buy. Does anyone know where I get...
I was thinking of the 990 which came out at the same time as the 985. The 995 has POP detection while the 985 and 990 does not.
I have and run the Vector 985. If I remember correctly, the only difference between the 985 and 995 is the 995 picks up Ku band.
The 995 was marketed as a internation detector at the time.
I thought it might of worked as well but I don't know how long my radar detector alerts laser on a non protected car. Does anyone know how long a Bel985 alerts on laser?
I've had Veil on my 2002 Civic for over a year now and it was applied correctly. A week ago I got lasered and my detector, a bel 985, went off for about 3 seconds.
I'm assuming he stopped...
I'm sure there are ways around the patent. If Bel/Escourt was really interested in offering this feature they would of come up with something by now.
It'd be nice if they put them on the sides so the arrows would light up right or left instead of both at once.
I think mine was a Whistler 685?? from Wal-Mart. Not entirely sure about the model #.
Awesome news about it coming out and that it beat the Spectre. Very exciting stuff!!
I've had my 985 since it first came out and it's still my only detector. It works very well.
I was in vacation in Tennesee last week and drove from Nashville to Memphis doing 10 over the limit. I didn't bring my detector for the rental car and felt odd the entire time without it.
Was it POP? Did you see a LEO?
Yes, you want low IR reflectivity.
The RX55 doesn't detect Ku band.
It's really hard to say. Since the V1 and Belscorts have a better range on a flat, straight surface they may get better range but then again they may not. It all matters on how much radar is being...
Very cool.
Thanks a million!!! Now I won't have to save up for a $500+ scanner.
I live in Nebraska. But drive in Colorado, Iowa, Misouri and Minnesota as well.
I'm just curious. How do you tell if your State LEO is using digital vs. analog?
I looked at RadioReference.com in the database but I don't know what to look for.
Can someone help me out?
...
LIDAR is point and shoot. I don't think it has a always on setting.
Yes, Nebraska is usually pretty conservative and bans things quickly.
I've heard ideas that the power of the gun will be lower so it won't be as easy to detect.
What LEO forums are you visiting?
My concern is falses from sunrise/sunset.
