i remember (before sending it out) i would hold Quiet while powering it on to check the revision, but now it just says Whistler, and nothing else..

damn the pro-78 is kind of annoying in new york city, brooklyn. i'd say 90% of my beeps are from neon lights or garage doors. or other cars, or cobras. i rarely see a leo.. even on the highways...

i bought from amazon, they can be highly trusted (they shipped from ANTOnline). i ordered on tuesday night, got it on thursday afternoon with their cheapest shipping

i just got the pro-78 and i'd say the better LED screen is worth it over the 690. u can always buy a compass/battery voltage meter at any auto store...
