Dropped my 995

I dropped my 995 and it has been giving me more KA alerts than I ever had in the past. Many times the KA alerts, are unverified with any police I could visually see.....I seldom ever received a KA alert pre-dropping the RD..

It is still under warranty and wanted some feedback about the warranty process.

What can I expect from the process?

What cost will I have to pay for?
S&H one way, both

Any imput would be greatly appreciated

1rst off, have you performed a factory reset on it yet? 2nd, if it's still acting up, send it in to Beltronics. 3rd, is it still under warranty?

Heck... nma did this at the alpine invatational and now he is getting 3.8 miles on ka i say we all drop our rd's immediatly!! LOL just kiddin all! that and his pop detection went through the roof!

guys, still haven't tried the factory reset...I'm hoping that will work....

I have no complaints about the 995...i feel I get good range.
(certainly receive a alert well before I see the Cop)

I don't drive that much, weekends only, and I feel that there is not much radar being used in the areas I drive

I will definately pay the S&H one time before the warranty expires to get the RD inspected.

I second that motion not a bad idea at all greg i am going to be doing this with my sti driver very shortly...I need to contact bel as well..asap so i can get that sti driver inspected nma...also nma i will be picking up a whistler soon..

How do you do a "factory reset"?

To reset V995 to its original factory settings, press and hold the “CITY” and “BRT” buttons while turning the power on. V995’s display will provide a “Reset” message, accompanied by an audible alert, acknowledging the reset.


I reset my 995, and it is working a lot better.
Not sure if it was the drop that caused the many false KA alerts, or it could have been the fact that I left it in frigid temperatures overnight (I truly feel that prolonged cold is bad for a RD and I remove it from my car every opportunity)


I will definately send it in for service whether it needs it or not before the warranty is up!!
