    Right now, despite the GOL results I'd still buy a XTR-690/Pro-78 all over again. They provide adequate protection, and you get Whistler CS on their flagship product, rather than Beltronics class CS on their lowest end product. The difference is obvious -- how many other chief engineers are here answering questions on a daily basis on their products?

    cool.. pro 78 it is..... will i get the latest software with it or i would have to return it to whistler for the update?

    I don't think they send out units with the Rev C yet. So you need to send it in. It costs 20$ (they pay return shipping). after this, it is still the same overall cost of the 955

    AFAIK no sellers have revision C's yet, so you're going to have to send it into Whistler for a flash upgrade. They'll also test your unit for you at the same time and make sure it's running in tip-top shape too, so it's not all in vain

    I know of one "authorized" online dealer that is advertising that they are shipping the new Rev. C Pro-78. It might save you $20-

    PM me and I will give you the link. BTW they are selling the 78 @ $179.
