    Default Second STi-R speaker replacement

This is my second STi-R speaker replacement in a year and a half. First one was at 3 months and now this one is just outside of warranty. The volume of the speaker is extremely weak. I did check to see if it was a faulty jack and used another source to check the speaker and it does not work. No warning it just stopped working. Anybody have the same issue or any idea of what could be causing this?

I believe the stiR's speaker has its own power and ground? I would double check to make sure that is properly hooked up, esp the power to a switched lead not a constant on power source.

It was properly hooked up. It ran with no problems for a year then it went dead. I checked all connections. Like I said I also checked the speaker with another external power and ground source.

Same thing happened to My STi-R. Sitting at a triffic light the Sti alerts and the STi-R is silent - But blinking.

I replaced with the one provided with the STi and have not had a problem since.

my speaker wire keeps coming disattached from the speaker, it's very loose...that could be the problem

I've had 3 of the Belscort auxilary speakers and they've all worked perfectly.
