    Default GX65

I don't see many posts about the GX65- is it because no one is using one? Does anyone have any negative or positive comments about this RD? Personally I like it.

Mine works just fine, but when I compare it to the 9500i, I tend to prefer the 9500 due to the sounds only.

Not sure why, but I think that Escorts marketing in the US are pushing the 9500 sales while I rarely see outside advertising by Bel for the GX-65.

I see the 9500 at Best Buy, Sharper Image, Popular Mech Mag and other magizines, but I rarely see the Gx-65 anywhere but here and on the Bel website.

I really like mine. The only difference I could find between it and the Escort version is the Escort has autolearn, and with the GX65 you must manually lock out a location. Personally, I didn't want autolearn and prefer to verify myself if a signal needs to be locked out. If I bought the Escort I'd still manually lock out. The $80 rebate made it a no-brainer for me.

I think the only difference is autolearn, and the GX-65 only comes with a Red Display. I really like the blue display's so that is why I went with the IX, also like the other poster said, I like the sounds/voice alerts better on the Escorts.

Funny thing about the voice prompts. My Whistler had a nice, easy on the ears female voice. Much more pleasant to hear than the coarse male voice on the GX65. But... the male voice gets my attention better!

Been loving my GX since the day they came out.
Didnt want auto learn...luckily that was the right choice.

Does bel do a good job keeping the database updated? I've always liked beltronics rd's and I'm intrigued.

I get weekly update emails from them listing which states have been updated. Some states I see almost weekly, mine only once in a couple of months. Yellow light law was passed in my state to stop abuse from cameras has really slowed the addition of new cameras.
