For the best performance and protection, I'd mount them on your grill, right next to the first headlight, on the inside.
i actually tested a 2008 or 2009 mustang with blinders a few days ago. He had his heads cut in the grill the wires were mounted out though. so i could get PTs at 1700 feet easy.. and that was center mass. We flipped them over, straightened them a bit, and cut the PTs down to 200 feet. couldn't get any better performance than that though without adding more heads. i tried everything. his fog lights are in the middle of his car. so positioning wise they were where YOUR fog lights are. and i could get a PT on the headlights even with proper mounting. the LRB destroyed the blinders. the pl3 got PTs at about 200 feet center mass, headlights i could still get around 500 feet. even with the new mounting positioning. in your case, i would put the blinders on either side of the pony as far towards the headlights as possible. you're still going to get PTs though.
His car was black too. with your heads being down there, your headlights will get tons of PTs. also when you crest a hill, you're done.

That is ridiculously toooooo low
I now have the head lights and fog lights smoked out do you think this will be any help to protect from PT?
Unless it's veil, no. it wont' cut down on IR light. it will cut down on your visible light coming out of the headlights though /facepalm
as soon as i aimed the LRB at one of the fog lights or headlights, the chrome inside gave tons of reflectivity for the LRB or PL3 to get a reading.
Thanks for all the info guys. I just ordered this grille to mount the jammers in better locations. What would be the best spot on this grille. Thanks again![]()
Top grill... second slot up from the bottom, farthest outside location towards each HL is where I would put them.
Receiver sensors OUT towards HL's. That will do exponentially better than the current set-up... getting rid of the chrome horse and the extra lights.
What I would do... is try that with an M27, then maybe add a head (aka M37) in the lower-grill in perfect CM (Where a LP would go)... to eliminate any PT possible from that large silver lower radiator.
M27-Red
M37-Red&Yellow
M47-Green
Receiving sensors OUT in all cases (either way for the 3rd M37 head).
AirMoore is correct, I'm also located in AZ. Shoot me a PM and we can get together and get your install all squared away.
