I was just clearing up the fact that they do slip once moving because there is need to... granted not to a large extent, but certainly enough to be noted.

Yeah I know thats for sure.

A-SD is the F1 Anti-Stall Device... which is on a 10 second delay so that if there is an accident after 10, the car will infact stall, but otherwise... it doesnt (well shouldnt) .

A little FYI, with a manual transmission if you are engine braking you are burning no gas. Not only is it a good way to help slow you down, but helps gas mileage. Of course you need to rev match to save wear on the tranny.

Shift at 3000-3500. Sometimes higher with the A/C on.

Redline is 8100RPM, fuel cuts off at 8600RPM (KPRO modified)

Im going to guess that when you shifted from 4th to 2nd you were not reving the motor to match the speed of the wheels, that will kill your clutch because your making the clutch slip from 4th to 2nd and turn the engine to the proper speed.

If you rev the motor up to the rpm that 2nd would be at, your car will go in smoothly, and the clutch probably wont even flinch depending on how good you are. I just think that the syncros may go bad, or somthing in the transmission. But what do I know...

Why not just add a small 3" tach!

Ok guys: I wont lie here...

I slip the clutch... never let off the gas, at 7,000RPM just before it goes into redline action.

The less of a difference between the speeds of the input shaft and the speed that it has to turn when a particular gear is engaged the wear on the clutch is reduced somewhat and the wear on the synchros are reduced tremendously.

But when revving the engine with the clutch in (or just having no load on it), the rocker arms can/will stretch... especially if jumping the engine up 2,000RPMS (very quickly). So its all give-and-take.
