Is that Stalker's UL LRB that you guys used?
Have you guys done some testing with HID/highbeam headlights against laser?

I'd propose to test HIR (9011 and 9012) lamps, too - as well as overwattage applications of standard halogen incandescents.
But I also want to caution everyone here to not jump the gun on this one.
There are many factors that could have caused such a difference - not just whether or not the vehicle had its HID headlamps engaged. Although the difference in lighting SOURCE (i.e. difference between HID and halogen incandescent) certainly could have been the root cause, whether this can be generalized to *every* HID system should be a statement reserved until much, much more testing can be done.
There are many differences in lighting systems from vehicle to vehicle - and this cannot be overlooked. Even in just two vehicles that are of the same brand/manufacture and model, just the differences in going from, say, our North-American LHD market to either the European LHD market or, say, the Japanese RHD market can be much more subtle than one would expect, with the difference not only being whether or not HID lighting is offered in one market versus another, but also including the different mechanical components used within the headlamps which are NOT accountable by simple parts-number lookups, and which can only be confirmed/compared when the lights have been physically dissected.
Undoubtedly, there is *something* to be said for these observations - which are being confirmed more and more by various members of our community.
However, be careful not to extrapolate too far.![]()
