Default Escort Classic? What is it?

I spotted an Escort Classic on Ebay recently. Any idea what it is or when it came out? It looks like a 4500.

There was an Escort detector sold as the "Escort Classic 2700". This was a later 12V version of the original Passport, with some changes including enhanced K-Band detection.

But, this doesn't look like the 4500, so I'm not sure if that is what you saw or not.

Most likely it was a model carried as a bottom-end unit after a new generation of PASSPORT came out. Like what they have been doing with the 7500 S.

    I lost count...
But I would have to guess more than 10, less than 1000

I had that very same passport model. Too bad it only detected X and K band. It sure was a winner for its time.
