    Default 1st Impressions...

Alrighty x50 came in today took it out for kicks. Rev 6.1, put it on H.+ (thought scanning dot was a tad quicker). Far as range its like soon as I get it the LEO's dont want to come out and play. Saw one around a corner just looking at his laptop. Mighty quite, no falses really, except for infront of a walgreens went from silent to full ka. I'll have to go again and check on it.

As far as mounting, before I was into radars, car audio was my forte, My audio system shakes the RVM so dont think that'd be the best place to hardwire. I was thinking about left hand side high, right under the next tune up sticker I guess you can call it. Any opinions?

But other than that, everything seems good. Hopefully some great stories about range to tell you guys after this weekend.

the rd from my experience never goes to full alert on any door openers unless you're really close by, it usually stays at K1, but be carefull about Ka alerts usually it's never a false

Yea, the signal should only go to one, maybe two bars, if you stay on the road. Once in a store parking lot, it could go all the way up to full K. Dont know why you got full Ka, unless maybe it could have been a Cobra :P

Well I think the best place for mounting is high and as close to the RVM as you can get it because it will definately help your Radar reception and help you catch LASER SCATTER (Not DIRECT) at a fighting chance. When I had the X50 I noticed that despite driving in the city it was really quite. Great filtering. Oh well, that is just my take on the whole mounting debate so take it with consideration.

    Sincerlely,

You know that's exactly what im thinking it was now...Because i was close to the store, and i was actually doing a turn around to get back onto the highway and when i was looking around there were no leo's in sight.

but as far as mounting it there...i'll try it hopefully it doesnt shake to much
