Explanation of the 9500I & TrueLock info (Tricks)

Updated install on my 04 Acura TL (pictures & Video):






9500ci install is pretty straight forward and the key pad placement was perfect, very easy to adjust. The M3 antenna i wanted mounted in a higher position so i squeezed the ZR4 heads below. Hard to see unless your looking for them.
I had read about 3M tape helping with jamming so i installed it on my front and rear plates. Overall i think i am pretty well covered.

I had a problem with mounting the V1 to the dots above RVM so i made a glass cut out and used heavy double sided tape. I figured it looked cleaner, plus its harder to see through my rear window and completely hides the V1 behind the tint strip. (now the V1 is on the back deck of my car and V1 remote display is here as well as the RedLine)


Also installed a V1 concealed display and remote mute/mode switch that can control the V1 and the CD. To allow for both to be controlled by the mute/mode button i used a regular telephone splitter:



It was a tight fit for the CD so i also used a small collapsible coupler from an old kit i had so i could use the small extension phone cord that came with it.

Update! After the QT testing [ame]http://escortradarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1560[/ame] nine_c1, Riptide and i did we found the V1 interfered with the 9500ci QT response i decided to move my V1 to the rear position.

The V1 is actually under the business card box and the only cut out is for the front antenna. Way less falses and Arrows still work perfectly.

Sorry if this was answered elsewhere in the thread, I only read the first 5 pages or so. Local LEOs in my area use primarily K band and the main drag has quite a few K band falses. I've been letting Truelock lock out the falses for me instead of locking them out manually. Is there ever a situation where locking one out manually would be better?

Not really, the lock out feature uses the same parameters for auto learn and manual lock outs. The advantage of manually locking out is it wont lock out signal you don't want it to, and it will take longer for it to auto unlock if the signal is no longer present.

Other advantages can be preventing an accumulative lock out of multiple signals/falses, however this requires some technique and really isn't necessary if you follow the "risk scenarios"
