Isn't it supposed to be smaller than the 9500i? And by how much? Also, is there an option if the signal goes over a certain strength, to unmute/unblock it?

I believe they all work the same 1/10 to 1/2mi depending on signal strength and how many just like my 9500I's. The ci manual actually specifically states 1/2mi, and i know my 9500I works with a 1/10 to 1/2mi radius, so we have to assume the ix works the same as the other two.
Is this question about the geographical size of lockout area (e.g., in feet or miles), or about the frequency block size for each locked out block (e.g., in MHz -- I've heard everything from 4 MHz to 30 MHz).
Seems like the range is dependent on speed.
On a slower surface street, there is a red-light camera that appears around 300 feet.
If I'm on the freeway that crosses over the same area, it appears to be about 1/2 mile.
sq
Mark location has to do with speed and locking out falses has to do with signal strength and how many.
