9500ix False Laser Alerts??

Noob to the Forum and to the 9500ix....

I have had it for just about a week now and it has been making me crazy

with Laser alerts..I thought a Laser alert was pretty much accurate and there are not many false alarms but I will tell you I must have had 50 today alone and they were not ALL Laser cops....

Is my unit defective?

Please help...

Are there any LCD screens in the cabin? Have you tried it in a different car?

Does my blackberry count? Its mounted on a holder when im in the car pretty close to the 9500ix...

....and despite what we know to be on the look-out for, we all still missed that very obvious cause of his woes.
