Does auto mode on the escort 8500 only filter x band and leave sensitivity the same on all other bands


Im trying to decide if is should run highway all the time or not. I do alot of city driving

Yes, as far as I know that's how it works (only affects x band). If you do a lot of city driving, set it to city LoX and run in city mode. If there's no X band in your area, you could even run City NoX and run in city mode, and switch to Highway mode for "all bands".

when i used my 8500 i only left it in Auto mode and ran it like NiTrO bOiE mentioned.
