    Smile VASCAR Database?

Ok, so far the 9500IX database is amazing, not perfect, but pretty darn good.

My question is: Why don't they include known VASCAR locations in the database? I'm not experienced with VASCAR, but there are set locations for VASCAR usage, correct? They need special painted lines, correct? Is there a reason they can't implement this, or haven't thought of it, or are they just saving this for a marketing tool when they run low on ideas? Sorry if this is a stupid question or it has already been answered...

that would be nice but ESCORT knows VASCAR is too rare and not widely used to keep a database on it

If you are really worried about Vascar just, anytime you pass a line start looking around a 1/4 mile and if you see another one and hit the brakes hard. Personally I just look up at the sky. If it is a ground unit then you will see him sitting on the side of the road... and they do not need lines, they can pick random objects.

If you know of regular traps where VASCAR is set up you can mark the location, but typically VASCAR is employed while roving. TRACKER which is built into the Stalker radar units has to be used stationary, but VASCAR is much more common and can be used against cars approaching or going in the opposite direction while the VASCAR user is moving. That's what makes it so deadly in unmarked cars.

I was assuming that the new SpeedTrap locations in the database would indicate known, well used VASCAR sites. However, I'm not really sure what goes into the SpeedTrap location criteria.

They certainly would not want to put in all locations with VASCAR marker lines painted across the road, or else the alarms would never stop coming on many interstates.

I'd really like to know what all is incuded in the new SpeedTrap Location criteria.
