    Default 9500ix firmware problem?

Here is the situation. I updated my 9500ix to the latest firmware just recently. It is connected to the ZR4 that I have. Here is the odd part. Today I was driving into town and got hit with laser I hit the mute button twice and nothing, so I continued to tap it, but the 9500ix was still saying shifting, which continued until I passed the cop because I guess they actually worked and JTG because usually (pre firmware update) when I shut the shifters off the cop would stop shooting me. In this instance he shot me for about 20 seconds or so while I was hitting the mute button repeatedly. The 9500ix did say Shft off once I passed the cop and he was no longer shooting me, which is a little too late to deactivate.

Is there anybody else that has had this problem?

That is how it has always behaved. I too use a 9500ix and ZR4 and see this all the time.

When you double tap the mute button it disables the shifters immediately but the message "shifters disabled" is a lower priority message than a "laser alert". So if they continue to laser you while you disabled the shifters then you will not see or hear "shifters disabled" until after the laser alert goes away, just as you described.

You can verify this by the display. When it is shifting it will read "shifting", when shifters are disabled by mute button then it will say "laser".

Using our test equipment I have verified on numerous occasions that the ZR4 stops shifting immediately when on the second mute button press.

if you click the mute twice it don't say shifters off for a few secs after but it kills them right away I thought I was JTG' leo's but cat4 and me tested this with his guns

Okay, sounds good. I was just worried about maybe the new firmware had a glitch. Thanks for the quick responses.
