Yes, you get priority service should you ever need to send in your Escort detector that has an ESP.

Fwiw. I came across the paperwork for the Redline ESP warranty today.

    Something interesting.

It says quote: The ESP sticker must be applied to your detector for it to be covered under the plan.

Do not remove the ESP sticker one it has been applied to the detector. Damage to the sticker may void your service agreement.

But as the Escort rep said.. Escort "links" a detector with the ESP in their system when you purchase the ESP. So the sticker isn't really necessary.

Just thought the wording of the paperwork was interesting.

The sticker is tiny and much smaller than the serial no. sticker on the bottom (where you're supposed to place it). Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the big deal? It's not even noticeable.

Yeah, where I placed mine. I don't ever see it unless I turn it over. I guess some don't want to put a sticker on their high dollar RD.

To each his/her own. No big deal.

Should escort advertise their Extended warranty as a "3 year" warranty when you are actually purchasing two additional years and not 3? seems this is common among warranties and that some new jargon needs to be used like "1+2 Extended Warranty" or "2+2 Extended warranty" where the first number is the original warranty and the second the actual number of ADDITIONAL years of coverage you are purchasing.

Touting a warranty product as "3 Year Extended Warranty" just seems to imply you are buying 3 more years...doesn't it?

Just a small thing and maybe not worth the trouble but I don't think I'm the only one who finds myself wondering just how long my whatever's TOTAL warranty time will be after buying an "extended" warranty.

Then again, I never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the fixture either

    another thing....
If you did not purchase your 9500ix from an "Authorized" Escort dealer, you will not be able to purchase an extended warranty so I hear. You have to provide proof of where you purchased it.
