Fitst Ticket with the 9500ix

Got a low Ka alert from a constant on and immedtiately slowed to 60. The signal got longer and louder over the course of a half mile. I look up and there is a TX trooper flashing me to pull over.

He said he got me before my detector went off because I braked after he had a reading and passed a pickup traveling doing 71 at 74 in a 60.

Needless to say my confidance is shaken. I this area they use Ka constant on or laser. I have been traveling this road trouble free for over twenty years and know every nook cranny and trick the law uses in this area of I35. I am befuddled how I missed this one.

This doesn't make sense to me.

slow, steady Ka Ramp-up with a 9500ix ?

and YES, definitely fight it
at the very least, learn all you can from the system about the encounter, the technology, their techniques, tactics and processes

No point. Common people get Kangaroo courts. I have sat in a few. It will make you sick. Happy 4th.

And you must play by the Kangaroo court rules if you want to fight the ticket, there is definitely a point, you can either pay and eat it, or pay and fight for your money back and points.

I've won 4 of the 5 I've fought. What the courts love are the sheep who bend over and send in a check.

One of the biggest reasons I switched from my Redline to my Valentine was because of I/O and Q/t performance. 45 miles one way to work through country - the CHP use only I/O and Q/t out there. I'm going to team it up with a 9500ci so that I can have the best of both worlds.

Sorry to hear about your ticket bro. Sometimes, if it is really quiet out in the country (no rabbits anywhere), I won't speed. The CHP out there will wait and wait in a good hiding spot for someone like me to come along. In this situation, slowing down with no rabbits - I have saved myself from a few tickets.

It isn't always the detector's fault.. sometimes we just get screwed. If only we could find a way to be 100% safe from every possible speed enforcement combined.

I have seen DPS using Laser near an onramp from a parking lot of a business. They blend in real well and can be very difficult to spot in this situation. Usually I would expect you to receive a laser ticket notification alert though... So it must have been a QT or POP then full on blast for tracking.
